Sanaya Irani says I took Chanchan because my father insisted!

Sanaya Irani has become the talk of the town for her upcoming show on Sony TV,Chanchan. She is playing a bubbly, happy-go-lucky girl who loves to make people smile. She is a dog trainer in the show and says she took this character because it is similar to her real personality.

During an interview with source, she shared that she took it up at her father’s insistence. “I was offered two shows at the same time and my father asked me about the titles of the show. When he heard about Chanchan, he insisted at taking it up. He calls me Chanchan when I wake up in the morning.”

Talking about her character Chanchan, which is grabbing eye-balls from each corner, she said, “I am a dog lover in real life too. I have two dogs at home. I am also very opinionated like Chanchan and don't believe in following society norms. She does what she feels is right. She is a bubbly and happy-go-lucky girl who makes people smile. I wasn't given any brief during the auditions and had to be my natural self. And, for the first time, I was satisfied with my audition.”

Sanaya, last seen in popular show Iss Pyaar Ko Main Kya Naam Doon, says Chanchan is totally different show from the current league. “The USP of the show is that it's not regressive and the character is not a suppressed one. I am being me while playing her. I won't have to shed copious tears unlike other shows on the tube. Life isn't as dramatic as it is shown on television.”

Madhu and RK spend a night together in Madhubala

The fans of Madhu (Drashti Dhami) and RK (Vivian Dsena) are eagerly waiting to see their favorite pair to be re-united in Colors Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon. 

After the big revelation that shook the audiences as well as Madhu's life, the show is now geared up to witness closeness between the lead pair. In the upcoming episodes RK and Madhu will get drunk and they both will pour out their feelings for each other.

Sources inform that in the future tracks to come audiences will see that RK will throw a huge party and there will also be an outdoor sequence. However, during the party RK will spike Madhu's drink and he will also consume some alcohol both will get drunk. After getting drunk RK and Madhu will open their heart out. Next morning, when Madhu will get up from her sleep she will realise that she is in RK mansion. She will rush from there leaving her dupattabehind. On the other hand, when RK wakes up he will see her dupattaand starts shouting at Bittoji and will ask him about Madhu. Bittoji will tell him while he was drunk he had announced that Madhu is his wife and she will not go anywhere. This is not all the couple will also share some love and hate moments while they are on outdoor shoot.

Who says 70 mm is the only thing a TV actor aims at? For some small-screen actors, their romance with the idiot box is pretty strong. Despite relentless 12-hour work shifts, Drashti Dhami and Vivian Dsena, the lead actors of tele-serial Madhubala – Ek Ishq, Ek Junoon on Colors, find every reason to love their work.
It was supposed to be “grand, engaging, mesmerising and very filmi”. Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon on Colors started off with a big bang, with all the works — Vivian Dsena riding high on the industry’s legendary initials of a superstar, RK, and Drashti Dhami as the simple girl destined to make it big on the celluloid. It was a love story that was supposed to capture the behind-the-scenes of tinsel town and the lives of its leading men and women. Today, although it is hitting a top ranking and Dhami has been voted as the most beautiful female television actor, the show is just another love story.As they complete 200 episodes of the serial, the duo comes to Chandigarh city on Saturday to promote the show.

Leading lady

From a doctor in Dill Mill Gayye to secretary in Geet - Huyi Sabse Parayi and now a hairdresser in Madhubala…, the journey of five years has made this actor a household name.

Mumbai girl Drashti, who always aspired to be an air hostess, entered into the glamour world by fluke. She shares, “My friend had to audition for a print advertisement and I went along with her. That’s where I coincidentally bagged a print ad followed by a music video. But, I had to take permission of 11 family members to do that video! See, they were not conservative but possessive.”

Drashti has been on a roll ever since.

“Work keeps me busy to an extent that I feel I don’t have a social life. Even on weekends, when friends get together, I’m usually at the shoots. The only time I get to myself is the one-hour drive time to the shoot. Spending time with friends is the only part of my life that I miss. But it is compensated when fans are eager to get their pictures clicked with me. One of the best compliments that I have received from a fan is, ‘we cry when you cry, we laugh when you laugh’.”

But does the journey end at being a TV star? “I am not interested in doing a Bollywood film until and unless Sanjay Leela Bhansali wants to make Black 2 with me,” she winks.

Superstar

His looks make him a head turner and his decision to tie the knot at the age of 23 has certainly broken many hearts. Vivian Dsena, 23, who hails from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, shares, “At 18 when I completed my Class XII, cleared AIEEE and was all set to enroll myself in an engineering college, the love for modelling took me to Mumbai in 2007 as one of top 10 contestants of Gladrags Mr India contest. I debuted with Kasamh Se in 2008 followed by playing the lead in Indian supernatural series, Pyar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, an Indian version of Twilight Saga.”

“Yes and no,” says Dsena. Dsena adds, “The show is not a saas-bahu saga, it has its elements, various characters and these two main characters.” He says he improvises on the sets, works on the dialogues and is pretty satisfied with the content and the way the makers are taking the show ahead. “The show, how it will pan out and how long will it run is the production’s call,” he says. Dhami agrees. Playing a strong-willed girl who works hard and speaks her mind, Dhami relates a lot to the character of Madhubala. “I am a lot like her,” she says.

Dsena says he doesn’t have an ambitious to turn to Bollywood. “Also, no one has approached me for films yet. I am an out-of-the-blue actor who has never been the first choice for television serials either. In both the serials where I play the lead, the supernatural show Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahani on Star One and now Madhubala, other actors were finalised and I was called in the last minute to replace them,” says the actor, who played the dark vampire, Abhay Raichand, in the Hindi version of Twilight.

Contrary to the serious, aggressive and arrogant role of RK in the show, Dsena says he is a prankster on the sets, cracking jokes all the time. “When you work 12 hours a day, there is nothing else one can find time to do. So it’s Madhubala for now,” he says. 

The actor, who recently married model and TV actor Vahbbiz Dorabjee, has been keeping quite busy with his current show.“I didn’t even go for a honeymoon as I had to shoot back to back for the show. But the kind of response the show is garnering makes me happy.”

3. Vivian: my general observation is that tv actors are not that fitness conscious, what is your take on physical fitness? Drashti: Hi Drashti I am your big fan and love your acting ...same ques for you too i really want to know your take on physical fitness
A-  Very difficult for Tv actors to maintain since we have no time. doing a daily soap for 12 hrs is tough

5. What's the 1 thing u both like n dislike about each other as co-actors??
A- Madhu: What i like about Vivian is that he lets go easily, he forgets in 5mins. I dislike him because he keeps on making his hair before every scene! 
RK: I have pokey straight hair so i can't help it! What i like about Drashti is that she's very professional. Some times i do lose it on sets but she calms me down. Bad thing is she's very snappy, kabhi bhi bhadak jaati hai

6. VD,how much u have evolved as an Actor post PKYEK(big time fan)? Because over here your character have so so many shades,and RK never ever talks with himself so that audience would b able 2 know what he is thinking n that make RK even more mysterious. DD same one for u,though dis is the 1st time I am watching any show of yours. U r one the most stunning lady I have ever seen in my Life. DD what do you think that is MB character the most vital character u have played onscreen ever??? becauz as RKs character even your character is larger than life,strongest character in d show Now as the heroine track and the junoon track would be cumin in future we fans would be eager to c a great heroine of bollywud (which u are already of tellywud)
A- RK: I was given a strict warning that i need to have a straight face since i was playing a vampire. Now when its RK i get to express more and obviously who wouldn't like to play so many shades. 
Madhu: This character i am really enjoying every bit. I do have a lot of shades but in a subtle way and thanks for all the compliment!

7. (1) did both of u ever been to acting school/ college dramas/school stage shows etc.? (2) how do u manage to complement each other so well? timing wise - expression & emotion wise - dialog delivery & humor - even attitude wise matching each other so perfect. (3) both are super actors, do u ever have ego clash like MB & RK on sets or during scenes as colleagues?
A- Madhu: I have introduced some smart techniques to match our timing. We never had any ego issues as we gel well off-screen too.

8. RK. Few questions. 1. Which has been the most easiest and the most difficult scene for you to perform as RK. 2. Which scene is your favourite and why? 3. How does it feel to play such a complex character like RK?
A-  RK: The Dabangg song has been easy. Any scene you see me talking beyond 3 pages is difficult. i find doing long scenes very difficult without a break.

9. RK was taking revenge...wt abt all the imaginations tht rk use to have when he use to be alone,, was he fooling himself?
A- That was a creative call, it was in effect with the twist...

10. Drashti whats the funniest incident u ever met while shooting?
A- Madhu: When I had to slap Vivian 4 times and i really slapped hard!

A- RK:Bittuji is my better-half! 
Madhu: he loves to be portrayed as a villian but Vahbbiz is the real RK. He just shows off in front of all of us.

A- RK: what do you think guys? Madhu: he's like a child on sets and i am the one always screaming.

A- In time and out time! also the chai! hahahah

A- Madhu: my mom has done jyotishi long back and he had said I would do crying scenes really well. my mum took it as a joke but now she actually relates to it. her criticism helped.

A- Madhu: i like funny Madhubala but she hardly gets a chance to show her funny side..

18. Vivian does it bother to you that due to writing of the show(for ex :your character turns negative again) you have to face the wrath of the fans ? I want to ask Drashti if someone would have betrayed you like this in real . how will you react then ? will you avenge it and how ?
A- RK: It does affect us as you fans msg us that this twist is not cool, I shouldn't have done this to 
Madhu. but since its a fiction show so that's how it is...

19. VIVIAN what is your dream role? I meant in Bollywood! Please tell or which kind of role you wanna play in future! :) :) :)
A-  for me every role is a dream role and i try to give my 200%. Entire crew works really hard, i leave everything on destiny..

20. Is there any moment.. or scene in the show. .which made u both break down ..?? As in a scene or a moment..which affected u in reality??
A- Madhu: I don't think Vivian is like RK in real life and not even me. I would have rather slapped if in real life. 1 scene i did dil se was my current track when i break down and scream RK in chawl

A- RK is not suffering from any disease, so that's not true!

A- RK: I love RK the way it is, nothing I want to change.

A- He's only playing pranks on sets! He spits on bittuji! 
RK: i don't spit, i just keep throwing water on him. I know he's scared of anything crawling so i have fun in that. Never played any prank on Drashti
 Madhu: We have snappy moments but we forget about it.

25. RK-Madhu how was ur reaction ..when u found out about the twist of first the 4phere ki shadi.. n then this RK ditching Madhu at the altar??
A- What the....this is it! This was our reaction and we too requested for the twist to not be leaked! hope u guys liked the twsit. We shot in 7 degrees so hope the efforts were liked by you guys!

26. Drashti who is your favourite bollywood actor & actress ?
A- Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan. Madhuri Dixit and Kareena Kapoor..

A- I take both in stride, i appreciate honesty...

30. Till now, What has been the most difficult scene for both of you?
A- Madhu: Initially, RK had not much dialogues but once we got married RK used to get 10 page scenes and I had no dialogues. I guess that was the most difficult! After a week, I had 1 scene with dialogues and RK didin't so yes he got bored then. Even the Balraj bit was taxing. Even the chaar pheras was tough

31. Drashti n Vivian...and plz tell us about your first crush?
A- RK: My chemistry teacher was my first crush. she was like Sush of Main Hoon Na. 
Madhu: I was quite a tomboy but I remember i had gone to a trip with my parents and there was a firang boy. We used to play the whole day..

32. Vivian, which avatar of RK was difficult to portray RK with attitude and ego or the lovable and sweet RK? Do you improvise the character of RK or portray it as per director & script's need? Drashti, if the character Madhu is allowed to inherit one of RK's characteristic; which one would it be?
A- RK: I do a lot of improvisations, my mum has helped me a lot in my hindi. I try coming up with new ideas and if its liked i get to do it. 
Madhu: I would totally love playing grey shades of RK. Can be bitchy if i want to..

A- Madhu: fifi islands, fav color aquamarine

A- What i love about Vahbbiz that she's quuite real on face. Memorable day was our wedding day, she is my dream girl and it was a good feeling to marry the love of my life..

She’s riding high on the success of her Colors show, Madhubala, but Drashti Dhami claims she still has miles to go. The pretty actor has also acquired a huge fan following, and many of them shower her with gifts too. “I return them,” she says, thankful that no one has asked her to marry them or 

sent her letters written in blood so far.

What is the best and worst part of your job?
The best part is having to look good everyday, but the worst part is that I have to, everyday. It’s an effort, especially on days when you’re low on energy and just want to be in your pyjamas. I need to doll up when I’m shooting for a wedding scene. Along with heavy make-up, wearing wigs is also a pain. For the scene where Balraj was shot, we shot in the sun for over a week, and that was tough.

The worst role/scene you’ve enacted?
I’ve done three shows so far, so there’s a lot to do. Usually, if you’re in a bad mood and have to shoot a funny scene, it is tough. Even when you’re in a great mood but have to perform a sad scene, it’s difficult.

Which TV shows do you watch?
I used to watch Bade Achhe Lagte Hain when it started. I also saw some bits after the leap happened. It’s one show that has stayed in the news since its launch. The baby, Pihu, is adorable. I would watch it for her.

Name a show whose content and success has surprised you.
I never thought Diya Baati Aur Hum would do so well. I haven’t watched the show, but I have heard about it, and it has been number one for a while now. Even Balika Vadhu has great content and doesn’t drag. My mother watches it regularly.

What topics would you like to see on TV?
There should be something on the fashion industry. The concept, clothes and actors on the show would have to be beautiful.

If you had to do another role in your show, which one would it be?
I would play RK, obviously. He has so much attitude and so many shades to his role — a good, bad and a grey side. It is believed that female actors have the best roles in TV shows, but in Madhubala, RK’s role has more shades.

Trivia
Fitness regime: I hardly ever work out. I keep thinking of exercising, but I hardly get the time. I do keep a check on my diet, and avoid oily and fatty food. I’m also blessed with good genes. My mother, who is 58, is still very slim.
Hobbies: Sleeping. I don’t have much free time, so whenever I do, I sleep. In between, I had started dancing, but I couldn’t continue.

Life of Madhu (Drashti Dhami), the protagonist of Colors’ Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon (Nautanki Telefilms and BAG Films) has come to a standstill as she has got back to the chawl and is presently looking for a job to live her own life. On the other hand, the ruthless RK (Vivian Dsena) feels that he has done the right thing by removing Madhu from his life.

RK to succeed in taking his revenge from Madhu in Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon!

All those who have been a little bored by the extra sweet acts showcased in Colors’ Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, have a surprise in store.

There is no doubt that the show with the little Bollywood tinge has turned to be a great venture for Colors. It has acquired a decent fan following and is popular amidst every age group. However, despite everything going smooth, the viewers were a little disappointed with the sugar-coated romance between the leads RK (Vivian Dsena) and Madhubala (Drashti Dhami).

Not anymore friends, as the show is now going to play its trump card which is sure to take you all by surprise. If believe the buzz then in the upcoming episodes, it will be revealed that all this while, RK was faking his love for Madhu. His only intention behind being so lovey-dovey towards her was to first win her trust and crush it into pieces thereby seeking the revenge for his insult.

In the due course, Madhu will eventually come face to face with RK’s true colors. She will be left all shattered and in pain. It is to note that RK always wished to break Madhu and her strength but he could never do this with his anger.

However, now he will win the battle using love as the weapon against the subtle Madhu. She is madly in love with RK and trusts him blindly, and this trust will leave her broken completely. 

Moreover, the track will then also shift its focus to Madhu venturing into films. Well, this surely is an unexpected twist and we are certain that viewers will be delighted with this much needed dose of drama!
