The lady luck seems to be completely in favor of Shaheer Sheikh and Soumya Sethstarrer Star Plus' show Navya!
Wondering why we are saying so about a show tipped to go off air. Well, the news is that it isn’t getting axed and to the surprise of all the fans the show has got an extension. Contrary to the buzz which stated that Navya would go off air on February 13, sources have now updated that it has got an extension and will now be aired at the 6 PM time slot from February 14, 2012.
Sources say that when Star decided to pull the show off it was on a TRP of 2.4 but later the number increased to 3.4. Not only this, the channel even received various phone calls from the ends of fans asking to continue the show. So, the authorities had a change of heart and they decided to give Navya an extension.
Producer of the show Siddharth Tewary (Swastik Pictures) confirmed the news and said, “It is a new slot and a new challenge and the entire team of Navya is looking forward to it.”
Snigdha Pandey aka Rama Bhabhi said, “Navya is very novel and radical in its approach and is very hugely popular among the youth. Proof of which is over four lakhs tweets which were sent to save the show. The 6pm slot might work as most school and college students (main audience of the show) are home by then.”
It’s indeed a great decision and we hope Navya continues to get the decent TRP rates!
