A common man associates migraine with a severe head ache which is very difficult to handle. But actually it is caused by nerves swelling that result in expansion of blood vessels in the brain.
This ultimately enlarges arteries, which in turn shoot up to devastating pain. As Dr Praveen Gupta and Dr Sindhu Nair, though its causes are difficult to identify but its symptoms can be cured easily.
They have defined migraine as, “A Migraine is a common type of headache that may be accompanied with symptoms like nausea, vomiting, or sensitivity to light. Many people feel a throbbing pain only on one side of the head. In extreme cases of migraine attacks, some people experience a warning symptom called an aura, before the headache. An aura is a warning, usually in the form of disturbances in vision. Symptoms of a Migraine with an Aura: A temporary blind spot, blurred vision, eye pain, seeing stars or zigzag lines”.
Causes: The people between the age group of 10 to 46 years are the victim of migraine. And mostly it is more common in women than man.
Diagnose: There is no specific test that helps detect a migraine; one may have to go for a brain MRI or a CT scan. All it is a matter of precaution and vigilance and a quick check up to doctor.
So remain healthy whole life with some precautions.
