Know what makes dates so important for your body!

Most of the time we judge a fruit or any other eatable with its taste, seldom do we notice the abundant health benefits the fruit has!

One of such wonderfully delicious fruits happens to be dates. Date palms are loved by many for their mouth watering taste, but did you know that other than taste they are even rich in nutrients. Experts say that dates are even rich in several vitamins and minerals. These natural products contain calcium, sulphurironpotassiumphosphorous, manganesecopper and magnesium which are advantageous for health.

Study says that consuming one date daily is necessary for a balanced and healthy diet. You can either have the dates just like that, or can even add it to those mouth-watering desserts. If willing you can even use dates to make chutney with either tomatoes or tamarind, and can store it in the refrigerator!

Further, fresh date is made of soft, easily digestible flesh with simple sugar like fructose and dextrose which when consumed refills energy and rejuvenates the body instantly. The fruit is rich in dietary fiber, which prevents dietary LDL cholesterol absorption. Dates are a good source of Vitamin-A which is known to have antioxidant properties and is essential for vision.

Dates are also rich in antioxidant flavonoids such as beta carotenelutein, and zeaxanthin. These antioxidants protect cells and other structures in the body from oxygen free radicals. They are even an exceptional source of iron.

So we guess now you have many reasons to make this fruit a part of your diet!
